Well, fall here in Montana has been quickly trying to turn into winter...it's a time of year I have started to not so affectionately call 'Fwinter'. But I have to say when Elizabeth and I began our second try at her fall senior portrait session in Glacier National Park, the weather made a quick turn for the best and we had a beautiful fall day to explore. Even though there was a dusting of snow in many spots that we visited the colors were so vibrant and the mountains were covered perfectly in snow.
For ELIZABETH'S SUMMER SESSION we got to hang out in the Bigfork area and dance in the wildflowers of Jewel Basin but even so we were both excited about a day in Glacier together for her fall session. All of her clothing choices for fall were perfect and everywhere we went Elizabeth looked amazing. I was thrilled to see all the leaves turning and falling at my favorite little dirt road and I was excited to take her to several spots I don't usually get to photograph at because of our tourist season here. We really loved the quiet backdrops in Apgar village and we even finished our shoot with sunset at Lake McDonald Lodge. The mountains at sunset were spectacular and other than a few people we pretty much had the whole Lodge to ourselves.
Elizabeth, thank you for being such a trooper! I know it was cold at times but we powered through and I am so glad we did. I love adventuring, being super silly, drinking too many energy drinks, and capturing beautiful you. Looking forward to seeing you again soon...
xoxo Shawna
