This Bigfork High School Class of 2020 senior loves and appreciates Glacier National Park so much that she requested not one, but two sessions in the park. Of course I was all about it and with the size of Glacier I knew it would be no problem giving her two completely different sessions there. For Meredith's FIRST SESSION we went on a big adventure together and made our way up the Going to the Road and even a little ways into the East side of the park. So, for her second session, because we wanted fall colors and the road had already been closed down for the season, we stuck on the West Glacier side and it was perfect.
Although we had to dance around wintry weather a couple of times the day came that we thought would work to head up there and thankfully the fall colors were still holding on. There was a beautiful build up of leaves and pine needles that were creating a yellow path along the lake shore and the larch trees were shining up on the hill sides above. Meredith's Mom was also able to tag along this time and it was so much fun having her there. She has an amazing eye for detail and I can definitely see where Meredith gets her creativity...so glad she was able to join us! Meredith rocked all the very best colors for fall at this session and since we share a mutual love for all things mustard I was over joyed with many of her choices. Bright yellow hunter boots...yes please!
She also always has the best ideas for extras for her sessions and this one had so many favorites. From park maps and a thermos, to her Glacier Park water bottle and her hammock, we had it all. I am so glad we hung up her hammock for photos.... I truly wasn't sure how to pull it off at first but I absolutely love the coloring and how they turned out. Good lesson to just go for it, you never know what you will get. Meredith also brought her championship medals and ALL of her Taekwondo belts, including her BLACK BELT. Seriously?!?!? What a crazy cool accomplishment Meredith; you are insanely amazing. That is a true testament of your consistency and grit, way to go. Her final prop was so perfect....she brought an afghan blanket that was her grandmother's and it could not have been more perfect for fall. It was fun to get her all wrapped up in it, sitting on the road to Apgar covered in larch needles.... made me feel strangely nostalgic...lol.
Meredith...you amaze me. You are so creative, witty, silly, and a blast to be around. I loved all of your out of the box ideas so much and I just really enjoy being around you; thank you for being you!
xoxo Shawna
