It is somewhat hard for me to imagine that about 20 days ago I was walking around in Swan Lake with this Bigfork High School, Class of 2020 senior. Fall in Montana was just barely starting to peek through in spots but it was still very much summer. Since then we have had an epic winter storm bringing up to 9 inches of snow in the higher elevations, insane winds and ocean like conditions on Flathead Lake....Montana is wild. That being said, I am so glad I got to go on an amazing, end of summer adventure with the every so beautiful, insanely sweet, and fun to be around Ocean B.
Ocean was was excited about having a lot of variety in her senior portraits so we set out from my studio with a big plan. We started the day out by the Flathead River where the sun shines through so perfectly in the afternoon, then off to downtown Bigfork because of it's colorful charm and small town vibe. From there, we stopped by a pretty spot on the Swan River to soak in the deep green colors and yummy smells of wild mint growing along the banks. Lastly, we set off to Ocean's family cabin on Swan Lake to meet her Dad where we spent sunset out on the middle of the lake with the most beautiful views of Swan Range. A huge thanks to Ocean and her Dad for braving the rain storm the day prior to get the boat in the lake so we could pull this one off....I think it was so very worth it.
Ocean, I truly hope you are enjoying your senior year. I am confidant that all your insanely hard work last year so that you could graduate a year early is paying off now. I hope you are really getting to enjoy this time at Bigfork High and I hope you know how wonderful you are, inside and out, and WOW...you are stunning in these photos.
All the best to you sweet girl and I will talk to you soon.
xoxo...Shawna
