Such a perfect fall day for a West Glacier National Park adventure with Shelby High School class of 2020 senior, Rachel. The sun was shining but we had beautiful puffy clouds filling the sky and the leaves were just beginning to show off a little in the park.
By this time in the season the park had closed the Going to the Sun Road for construction so Rachel and I explored the West Glacier area. It was a perfect fit because Lake McDonald is very near to heart and one of their family's very favorite places to be when they head this way.
We started our time out on my favorite dirt road...there are no grande mountain views here but it is always so stunning. Then off to get a different wooded feel in the cedar grove and up the river before going to show off one of Rachel's many musical talents, violin. With a stunning mountain and Lake McDonald view behind her Rachel played away while I treaded the water in the stream and captured her. As she began to play I actually teared up..lol.. silly I know but it was so very beautiful. The only way to top it off was to grab some ice cream and enjoy the iconic Apgar view from the dock. And lastly, a beautiful sunset from one of my very favorite spots along the lake shore where Rachel played bells for me.
We had so much variety in Rachel's session and it was so fun to show off all her talents. From violin and bells, to basketball, volleyball and ice cream devouring.... we packed it all in and had a beautiful time doing it.
Rachel, you are amazing. I am blown away by your musical talents and incredibly sweet demeanor. I wish you all the very best this year and truly hope to attend your next festival or concert Thank you for adventuring with me....you are stunning and I had the best time hanging out with you and your family.
xoxo...Shawna
