I have been able to spend a lot of time at Swan Lake this season for photography sessions and I have really loved every moment of it. My most recent extended family portrait session on the Swan was at 6 mile Estates (so lovely there) and I got to hang out with the sweetest family, The Seppi's.
This crew has family portraits done to commemorate their vacation time together wherever they may end up for that season (definitely saving this as a family goal as my kids get older) and I was lucky enough that life brought them to Montana this summer.
We chose a morning session to help with sleep schedules of the two youngest family members (I love twins) and although morning shoots can sometimes be tough for light, it worked out very well. The estate has a lot of shade available and it was actually super windy on the lake that morning so we avoided going down to the shore anyway. The sunshine filtering through the trees, paired with their amazing purple and blue clothing choices was perfect against the deep greens of Montana summer. If you are looking for summer color choices for a family portrait session check out some shades of purple, it was really beautiful.
Seppi Family, thank you so much for choosing me to come spend the morning with you on the lake; it was such a pleasure getting to spend time with your family. I hope to have the opportunity to work with again and look forward to watching your family continue to grow.
Come back soon!
xoxo Shawna
