When traveling to Montana for vacation you should absolutely consider having a photography session to commemorate your travels, especially if you have never been here before and you just so happen to be graduating from high school that coming season.
It was exciting to get to schedule a senior portrait session with an upcoming graduate of Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota, and it was even better getting to hang out with Mathew and his family while they were here. We opted for a session in Bigfork because it is my very favorite and I knew I could get great images for him with lots of variety. A beautiful water/wooded spot to begin with, a little bit of an urban vibe, huge rocks and greenery on the river, and wide open spaces with big mountain views.... we covered it all.
Was thankful that we had great end of the summer weather here in Montana for his session. Perfect partly cloudy skies gave us small glimpses of summer while still allowing us to get mountain views without fighting the sunshine. Mathew had a perfect mix of casual to dressed up clothing options and was sure to include layers and color...perfect for senior portraits.
Mathew, thank you for being so easy going and fun to work with. Love that you brought a suit to your session (those are epic) and loved that you wanted a few photos with your family; you are really a great guy. I hope you enjoyed your time here in Montana and get to come back again sometime. All the best to you as you enter your senior year!
